Notes: The number of times people forget: No Disco, No Hip-Hop. Me and my big bruv used to dance round at home to the vibrations of Chic, Earth, Wind and Fire and The Biddu Orchestra (Yes, The Biddu Orchestra. Don’t sleep on the UK now). | Kidk had a drum pattern he didn’t know what to do with and I had a chord progression I didn’t know what to do with. After some playing around with an MPC and a Rhodes we started getting a little giddy. The bounce from that session became the foundation for the song. | There’s a lot of melodies going on and it took me a while to get them all. Sometimes that involved me singing about 5 different versions to the relevant players who were very patient with me (thanks Gaz). Let’s goooo!

Not decided on a favourite track but the album as a whole is positive, reflective and mature - aside from the lyricism and the recognisable voice, things have changed since 'The Essance' (still a great album though!) Great LP. Scissorino
